1971 BMW 2800cs

Neue Klasse BMW coupe created in 1969. This was BMW's attempt to move up-market. I purchased my car from its original owner. A doctor, who purchased the car through the BMW European Delivery program. After picking up the car, the doctor and his son drove all over Germany, and beyond, before shipping the back to New York City. Max Hoffman, the importer who championed European cars in America, received the car and the doctor drive the for thousands of miles. I've owned it for the past 19 years. over the past few years I've refurbished the full suspension, brakes, and recovered the seats. I had major systems refreshed as well, rebuilt the dual carbs, upgraded the ignition system, replaced the rear main seal, and installed a new clutch.
